Southern Vermont ski areas such as Mt Snow and Stratton are an hour's drive. The house is ideally located close to Smith College and all of the shops, restaurants, and cultural activities of Main Street, Northampton. Also in the area is Tanglewood in Great Barrington, Mass MoCA in North Adams, Clark Art Institute & Williams College in Williamstown, and Jacobs Pillow in Becket.
